Elementary Program
Teaching and Inspiring
Our Elementary Program provides an opportunity for children as young as age 5 to learn the fundamentals of vocal production through singing, games, and creative activities.
Cherubino Coro Ensemble
Kindergarten and First Grade
The Cherubino Coro ensemble gathers weekly on Mondays from 4:00-5:00pm to explore vocal production and rehearsal concert pieces. No vocal audition is required for joining this ensemble; rather, a readiness assessment is performed to ensure that participants possess the necessary attention span and interest for success in the program. Mrs. Amy Studabaker is the director of the Cherubino Coro.
Piccoli Angeli Ensemble
Second and Third Grades
This ensemble convenes weekly on Mondays from 5:00 to 6:00 PM, sharing the same goals as the Cherubino Coro ensemble. Students in this group are afforded greater opportunities to take on speaking roles or solo performances during concerts as they develop and refine their skills. The Piccoli Angeli ensemble is led by Mrs. Amy Studabaker.
Upper Elementary Program
Enhancing Abilities
Beginning in fourth grade, our students move to a higher level of musical learning that includes sight singing as well as a more rigorous music theory program. Weekly etiquette training as well as stage presence instruction are added for this group.
Primo Coro Ensemble
Fourth through Sixth Grades
This ensemble gathers weekly on Mondays from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. Students explore music history while performing selections from various cultures and genres, and they have the chance to sing for the community through scheduled performances at civic events. The Primo Coro ensemble is led by Mrs. Amy Studabaker.
Middle and High School Ensembles
Building Skills
Our Belle Voci ensemble, designed for young ladies in grades 7-12, and our Ragazzi Coro ensemble, tailored for young men in grades 7-12, are guided by experienced directors who specialize in nurturing the evolving voice as students transition from childhood into maturity. Emphasis is placed on voice placement and support, ensuring optimal development. At this stage, sight singing and music theory are explored in greater depth. Additionally, there are more opportunities for speaking and solo performances during our concerts, along with chances to engage with the community through various events.
Belle Voci Ensemble
Seventh through Twelfth Grade Ladies
This teaching ensemble enhances students' skills as they evolve into a more refined vocal sound. By incorporating captivating music along with opportunities to learn choreography, rhythm, and public speaking, we foster self-confidence and develop stage presentation abilities. The Belle Voci ladies are directed by Mrs. Tiffany Richards.
Ragazzi Coro Ensemble
Seventh through Twelfth Grade Men
This lively ensemble caters to a young man's evolving voice, empowering him to sing with confidence. By enhancing vocal strength through effective training and engaging music, this group fosters both skill development and self-assurance.
High School Honor Ensembles
Attaining Mastery
The Angelo Voci Ladies Ensemble and the Cantanti Lirichi Mixed Ensemble consist of students who have attained the pinnacle of musicality within our choir. In addition to their vocal prowess, these students are expected to excel in sight-singing melodies, exhibit a strong grasp of music theory, and demonstrate poise, stage presence, and expressive interpretation.
Our honor ensemble members often serve in the role of emcee for our concerts and have the privilege of representing our choir through performances at various venues within the community.
Angelo Voci Ensemble
Ninth through Twelfth Grade Ladies
The Angelo Voci ensemble is a prestigious group of young women from high school who have demonstrated exceptional talent in vocal production, stage presence, and expressive performance. They tackle more complex musical pieces and are presented with enhanced opportunities to showcase their talents. As leaders within the choir, they exemplify the values, service, and character that define the choir's spirit.
Cantanti Lirichi
Ninth through Twelfth Grade Mixed Ensemble
The Cantanti Lirichi represents the choir's highest honor group, known for performing the most challenging pieces, singing the largest number of selections during concerts, and dedicating more rehearsal hours each week due to their involvement in three ensembles. The Cantanti Lirichi also act as ambassadors for the choir as they too exemplify the values, service, and character that define the choir's spirit.
